Why Laser Safety? Even at lower power output levels, it is possible to cause irreversible ocular injury from a single accidental exposure to a direct or reflected laser beam, depending on the wavelength, output and exposure duration. Laser safety can prevent damage to equipment as well. An important factor in determining damage potential is irradiance, the power per area, expressed in watt/cm2. Daylight Transmission (VLT) and Color Vision When we wear laser safety glasses, some wavelengths of the spectrum that would normally reach our eyes are filtered out. If we block light from the visible region, this inevitably changes our perception of our environment. First, the attenuation of transmission in the environment increases, causing a darkening effect—similar to the effect of sunglasses. Second, blocking certain wavelengths will change our perception of color. Professional and Certified Our laser safety glasses are all certificated by Celab company, the certification number is 802809035823 which can confirmed with Celab company. The valid date is from Mar 30, 2020 to Mar 19, 2024. High Quality Filters FreeMascot offers advanced collection of polymer or polycarbonate laser safety eyewear filters. These things are perfect for my laser engraver… If you are involved in lasers, these are a must. These glasses are very well constructed, and the make me look like Bono. the bad news is that I can't get my laser to work, so I can't testify on the most important part, how well they filter laser light energy from carving its initials on your retinas.I have had these for two weeks, storing them in the included case when not in use. Of these last two weeks, I have maybe used the glasses for 5 or 6 of those days. I went to put them on tonight and the right lens just popped out. Upon inspection, it appears that the frame that hold the lenses in has broken in two places, and it is only by chance that the other lens had not also fallen out. I have included a picture of where the frame has broken.I am going to return my current pair for exchange and hope the issue is contained to the specific pair that I got, because at the price these cost, this is not acceptable.Nice easy to use. Protects from the side as well.Good eye protection. No blindness or impairment yet after using a laser. Laser is still visible but adequately diminished. Side shield does it's job properly.Very nice and stylish!Dude these glasses will save your eyeballsPerfect for use with my laser cutter and better than what came with the laser! These are the real deal, even with rich blue LEDs they got blocked out and turned into muted greenish color. The wavelength of blue is within the upper range of the capability of these (490nm).Most consumer UVC lights are 200-280nm. Ozone production generally happens at less than 240nm.I haven't used these longs and can't really say on the frame durability, but I could definitely see it breaking if you're rough with them. They're comfortable. These are the glasses recommended widely for laser engraving with blue diode laser. Compared to the cheap ones that come with the laser these are amazing quality. They fit me well even over my regular glasses. They come with a very nice case and cleaning cloth. I can only trust and assume technically they are protecting my eyes.Makes the world look greatWell received. Thank you.
