I just completed cataract surgery (2nd eye) on Monday, August 29. The surgeon wants me to wear an eye guard to bed for one week following each surgery to prevent any pressure or contact in the sensitive area while sleeping. This is a plastic cup that is fixed around the eye socket with surgical tape. It is difficult to get proper placement and the tape leaves adhesive on the skin that is difficult to remove in the morning. After a few nights of this on the first eye, I started looking for an alternative and found these "safety glasses." I selected the dark tinted lenses for sleeping and use outside in bright light. For sleeping, I adjusted the stretch head band so that it applied minimal head pressure to hold the glasses in place. The hard plastic glasses contour my eye area nicely and fit flush against the side of my face so that I can sleep comfortably on my side using a small pillow. I have now been wearing the goggles to bed for 2 weeks. They are comfortable and I sleep well without risking any damage to my fresh surgeries on each eye. They have a soft foam gasket around the perimeter of each lens frame to gently hold them in place. The nose bridge also has foam supports to ride your nose. For outdoor wear, you can change out the head strap for typical sunglass type ear supports. I like the head strap so this is the only way I have used these glasses. Once my surgeries are fully healed and I don't need the sleep protection any longer, these will make great eye protection for mowing the grass and other work activities. I think the dark tinted glass will be beneficial for this use as well.I purchased these for use when using a chainsaw. During my first test I had to stop cutting and remove the glasses to wipe off the condensation a dozen times in the first two hours. I selected this set because of the seal against the face supposedly allowed venting to keep from fogging. I expect that testing was not done in 90% humidity like I face almost daily where I am. The seal works, the venting no so much. I wanted a seal to prevent bugs from biting around my eyes and this works for that even though I have to carry a microfiber towel to soak up the condensation from the lenses.Got about 4 months out of them from normal use before they started falling apart.I like the style and durability of the material.I was going to use them for goggles when I cut grass, and in the process of changing the straps from glasses to the headband, the headband wouldn’t attach and lock-in.No recomiendo estos lentes si usted busca calidadBroke after first useFits nice fits tight I like them alot
